Google is at it again and I must tip my hat to them. Through Google for Weddings you can create your own Wedding site, use Picnik to edit photos and create some of your wedding materials, use Google docs to help you with all your planning documents, and share your photos from all your wedding activities with Picasa. This is an amazing little bundle.

Google sites teamed up with renowned wedding planner and destination expect Michelle Rago to create the beautiful collection of themes you'll find. Use Google Sites to share information about your wedding, your engagement story, and anything else you can think of.

Picnik has coordinating themes so you can edit your photos and create engagement announcements, save-the-dates, and plenty of other fun projects.

Google Docs has all the files you need to help keep you organized and stress free through your wedding planning process. You'll find docs for your address book, guest list, budget planner, seating chart and much more.

Picasa Web Albums will allow you to gather and organize all your photos. Are you trying to decide on bridesmaid dresses? Take pictures of all of the options and share them with the team. Wedding Wisdom: Bringing the Family Together

Hello My Socialite Brides,

You have spent so much time planning this wonderful wedding day and with all the focus on making sure everything goes according to plan you never realize that you missed spending time with the family and friends that made your day possible. It all goes by so quickly but you want to remember this moment and the people you spent it with for the rest of your life. Here’s your solution, extend your wedding weekend a little bit with these ideas.

Are you a night owl? Have an after party after the official reception. Invite everyone back to the hotel where you’ll be staying and have a little bar party at the hotel bar. Find out if the bar will allow you to have pizza delivered and just hang out at the bar with your family and friends and really let your hair down. We’ll even let you go change into something truly comfortable. Everyone knows you’re the new Mr. and Mrs. so you can lose the formal gear.

Are you more of a morning person? How about a brunch the morning after your wedding with your newly bound family? Wedding Wednesday: Sweet Sweet Love

Hello my Socialite Brides in Training,

I hope that you are having the time of your life right now planning you wedding and enjoying your engagement. I'm in a sweet mode today and am having a major craving for these new cupcakes by MMM Cupcakes so I thought today we would take about the current cake trends.

One of the first trends is a return to the classics. We had fun with all the cool and corky cakes but we are slowly but surely seeing a return to the sweet, classic, and romantic cakes. Shades of ivory, cream, and white are coming back into high demand among brides.

Another emerging trend is the use of fresh flowers vs. frosted flowers. It takes great talent to be able to create a flawless frosted flower but there is something about the smell, look, and feel of fresh flowers surrounding a wonderful crafted wedding cake. You will start to see cakes with fresh flowers between tiers to create a grand illusion even with the use of smaller cakes.

For the bride who wants a little shine (I try my best never to use the word "bling"), I have some great news for you. There is a new product on the market just for you...edible rhinestones! These little gems can be purchased or made by the bakery and will give you that sparkle you always envisioned at your wedding, and as an added perk, there is no need to remove them when its time to serve the cake since they are completely edible. Enjoy!

As for grooms' cakes, the southern tradition of the chocolate cake still holds true. Some still enjoy the traditional chocolate cake with the chocolate covered strawberries while others are opting for a cake that truly represents their personalities and interest.

No matter what, remember that it is and will always be your wedding day and as long as it reflects your style that's all that matters.

Wedding Wednesdays: The List

Lets talk about the guest list. This could possibly be more stressful than everything you've done so far but if you've already picked your venue the good thing is you know your limit.

These steps should make it a little easier for you.

Bride, Groom, and Parents write your list of guests.

Don't forget to include yourselves

Add up all the list in an excel sheet and remove duplicates

You will almost undoubtedly see that you have exceed your count and your cost already

Everyone revisit your list and start cutting down your list.

Your wedding should be filled with people you want to be surrounded by and not people you feel obligated to invite.

Yes, this is a tricky step but Mindy Weiss offers this tip: Think about after the wedding...if you ran into this person on the street would you feel regret for not inviting them or just a pang of guilt. Let your reaction guide your decision.

DONE!

You can't stop here or move to step 5.

Create a B-List for those you would like to invite but they didn't make the first cut.

You will start getting some advance notices from those that can't come once you send out your save-the-dates and this will allow you room for guests from your B-List. At this time you can either send them a save-the-date or if its too late for a save-the-date just send an invitation.

Wedding Wednesday: Save-the-Dates

You've finally gotten through the headache of the guest list and now its time for the fun task of giving your guest the heads up about the Big Day! Save-the-Dates can be as formal or informal as you like and do not have to match the style of your invitations.

Its best to send out Save-the-Dates about six to seven months before the wedding and the earlier you send out the Save-the-Dates the less information you need to include. Generally, you include the name of the couple, the date of the wedding, time of day, and the general location- leave a little mystery for the actual invitation.

Any guest who receives a save-the-date card must be invited to the wedding so hold off on sending these out until you've finalized the guest list.

Last but not least - before printing make sure you figure out the number of HOUSEHOLDS you are sending save-the-dates to and NOT the number of guests. This can be a very costly mistake.

We know it is terribly hard to have a moment to speak to each guest at your wedding but here's an sweet little idea. When setting up your table chart try to leave space for the bride and groom at each table. Instead of doing a receiving line you'll have the chance to sit at each table and talk to your guest in groups of 8 or smaller depending on your table size.

Trust me, your parents will be very thankful that you took the time out of YOUR great day to speak to everyone!

PS|PR: Making The Most Out of Your Publicity

Welcome back for this week's edition of PS|PR. This feels a little like story time with Mister Rogers in my mind. Is that weird? Probably, but just go with it and imagine a trolley with puppet people behind you as you read this.

This guy is still getting free publicity decades after he went off the air. You can't buy that kind of PR!

After last week's post...you figured out you needed PR. You got yourself a publicist. What do you do now? The answer is definitely NOT to sit back and wait for results. Professional Socialites suggests that you:

Communicate with your PR pro! Let them know what you need from them, and always try to return their calls and e-mails in a timely manner as some things they need from you may be time sensitive and could help (or hurt!) your company.
Know what to expect, and be realistic! The manner in which Return-on-Investment (ROI) in PR is measured varies, and is mostly based on placement and exposure. It doesn't exactly equal dollar amounts in sales, as with marketing and advertising. Do your research and know what you should expect before you begin.
Be visible! Your publicist should be working diligently to get you and your brand noticed, but nothing can sell your brand better than you. This is especially important for small businesses and brands like those that Professional Socialites represents. The theme song to Cheers should play when you walk into a room "Where everybody knows your naaaame..."
Enjoy the experience! Publicists are often de facto confidants, friends and psychologists to clients due to the sheer fact that they entrust us with helping them build their brand, and the amount of time spent working closely with them. Nurture the relationship with your PR pro with mutual respect and kindness. This may sound a little "after-school special-ish," but it is definitely an important factor in your working relationship. Mister Rogers would expect nothing less.

We had the pleasure of working with Zenovea and Harvey as they celebrated 46 years of marriage. What a wonderful love story! They have known each other since they were 10 and 14 years old...can you imagine?

Event Luxe & Co. served as the back drop for this momentous occasion.

A special thank you goes out to Erika at Event Luxe & Co. for allowing Zenovea & Harvey to be the FIRST couple to hold a ceremony at this wonderful new venue!

The coolest part of the night was when their nieces and nephews presented them with a trip to the Bahamas for a second honeymoon!

Welcome to PS|PR, our new blog section brought to you by the Public Relations department of Professional Socialites. Yes, I am aware that I am the Public Relations department, but I digress. With PS|PR I will give tips for hiring/working with a PR pro, handling some of your own PR, advice for students and aspiring publicists (which I believe in this ever-changing industry, we all shall always be) and good ideas to pass along.

Samantha Jones made PR look glamorous on Sex & the City. I suppose showing her tirelessly editing press releases, planning product launches and staying glued to her BlackBerry for client's Google updates would take away from the plot line!

To begin, "What the *!^# is Public Relations?" When brands and small businesses contact us about Professional Socialites' PR services, it is not unusual to find that most don't understand exactly what public relations is, or how exactly it works. Many people assume that PR is interchangeable with marketing or advertising. But they do start out with one right idea - recognizing that PR is a vital part of their company's success!

Here's the breakdown for those who are still a little fuzzy on the difference between advertising and PR: Advertising is paid means of communicating about your brand, and it's usually one-way communication (talking AT your audience). Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Ivory Bridal Atelier Grand Opening. This lovely bridal salon is located in the newly open West Ave Shopping Centre in Upper Kirby and the hottest new location to find to perfectly fab dress for your special day.

Sisters Ronit and Sharon Levy are the brainchildren behind this escape from the normal bridal shopping experience.

“We want this whole experience to be magical and for the brides to feel special,” Ronit Levy says. “I went shopping in New York for my wedding dress and I felt like one of a million brides.”
While she bought her dress from a Houston shop, she ran into a friend when they both came out of the dressing room at the same time. After that, the sisters decided they wanted a more intimate bridal boutique and built two very spacious rooms for a bride and her entourage.

While going through the process of giving the wedding "prize" to a woman suffering from stage IV Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Liz created Wish Upon a Wedding. Overnight, Liz decided to change wedding history, and the way we give, by launching a nonprofit organization that was totally unique and had never existed before.

Supported by industry leaders such as Sasha Souza, David Beahm, Stella Inserra, Jenny Orsini, Kevin Covey, Stacie Francombe, Sylvia Weinstock, Steve Kemble, Mindy Weiss, Mary Dann, and Ivy Robinson (to name just a few), the organization has experienced rapid growth and seen voracious acceptance throughout the country.

To date, eight couples have benefited from the generous work of Wish Upon a Wedding. Over 4,000 volunteers have signed up to become Wish Granters. Their facebook page has attracted over 10,000 fans.

None of this would be possible without public support.

In Loving Memory of Wish Recipients who have Passed On

Dani and Tony married in St Louis on September 1. She passed away September 30th. Dani had suffered from Cystic Fibrosis since age 3, and had recently received a double lung transplant.

Florence and Micheal married near Sacramento on March 13. She passed away on September 28. Florence battled stage IV breast cancer, and was diagnosed with six months to live at the time of her wedding.

Shelly and Jay married in Seattle on May 2. Shelly passed away three weeks later. She had been battling a rare type of cancerous lymphoma, and Jay suffered from Multiple Sclerosis.

Inspiration Story: The Texas Wedding

This is our first Inspiration post so bear with us. Awhile ago Megan and I were watching TV and say a Texas bride having a very "Texas" wedding that covered every stereotype there is about Texas. We have lived in Texas our entire lives and we know a much different Texas. This little inspiration post is going to show you how you can have a Texas wedding, still be chic, and having the special things about Texas that you love thrown in.

Let's start with the location. Whenever I think of a Texas style wedding I see a wonderful outdoor wedding that reminds me of why I love Texas so much.

Let's imagine a Texas Spring Wedding with about 50 to 100 guests to share your wonderful day with.

Let the inviation be something reflective of Texas charm. Wildflowers, sunflowers, bluebonnets and neutral colors like yellow, cream, beige, etc. You don't have to have cowboy boots to prove you're a Texan.

Niyi & Dami: July 24, 2009

In July, Professional Socialites got the opportunity to be coordinators AND guests at the wedding for our college friends, Dami & Niyi.
The couple was wed in the chapel of The Centrum, then the party headed to Chateau Polonez for an outdoor cocktail hour followed by the opulent, gorgeous reception. The fashion-foward couple showcased their style with several outfit changes that included Louboutin heels for the brides, the groom's beloved pocket squares, and traditional Nigerian garb. This grand affair included lots of DIY work from the couple, from the invitations (done by the bride...who is now starting an invitation company!) to the favor bags to the candy buffet.

Thanks to the wonderful vendors Darryl & Co., Ral's Fine Catering, Supreme Kakes, both venues, and a special thanks to Collins Metu Photography for the wonderful photos!

Big Changes Allowing More Couples A Dream Wedding

July 22, 2010
Six-month old nonprofit organization Wish Upon a Wedding announced today that it will broaden its scope of services, in order to assist more couples in need. Although its primary focus continues to provide weddings for terminally ill individuals regardless of sexual orientation, the organization will soon help those faced with other personal burdens, such as serious emotional, physical or other debilitating issues.

Due to a significant number of requests, Wish Upon a Wedding will now provide a limited number of weddings to inspirational couples that have experienced these catastrophic life-altering circumstances.

Beginning July 22, 2010, the nonprofit will grant these wishes on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will undergo a detailed screening process, and will be required to provide medical proof of their situation. Because the organization is new and still in growth mode, Wish Upon a Wedding will only be able to grant a limited number of wishes per year, at chapter discretion, and only the most compelling cases as determined by chapter boards will be considered.

“By partnering with Wish Upon a Wedding, Get Married’s goal is to help connect talented, local wedding professionals in order to offer couples in their communities with a dream wedding and turn tragedy into triumph,” said Stacie Francombe, national public relations chair and founder of Get Married Media. “By opening up new doors to more deserving couples with a variety of life-changing challenges, the wedding industry is sharing their commitment to their profession, to these individuals and to the idea that dreams do come true for any couple in love.”

Until now, the 501(c) 3 nonprofit has provided weddings for individuals diagnosed with less than three years’ prognosis. That stipulation has been adjusted to a five year diagnosis. The organization will also allow couples seeking vow renewal celebrations to apply for wishes.

Wish Upon a Wedding is looking forward to this change and believes this will have a positive impact on hundreds of lives, by providing the opportunity for a celebration of life and love with those most important to them.

Wish Upon a Wedding is now accepting applications from:

* Couples where at least one individual has terminal diagnosis of less than FIVE years to live

* Couples faced with situations that have caused serious emotional, physical or financial stress (approved on case by case basis)

* Married couples seeking vow renewals, who have faced serious life-altering circumstances including but not limited to terminal illness (approved on a case by case basis)

All applicants must be over the age of 18 and legal U.S. Citizens

Non-Profit Grants Dream Weddings to Couples Facing Life-Threatening Illnesses

HOUSTON, TEXAS - Wish Upon a Wedding, a new non-profit organization, dedicated to granting weddings and civil union ceremonies to couples facing life-threatening illnesses, has officially launched in Houston, Texas in June 2010. Wish Upon a Wedding Houston will produce weddings & civil union ceremonies for individuals facing terminal illness residing in or wishing to get married within 300 miles of the Houston Metropolitan area. Couples must be over the age of 18, unmarried, legal citizens of the United States, where at least one individual has been diagnosed with having less than three years to live.

Founder Liz Guthrie of San Jose Wedding Consultants explains, “By giving the gift of a dream wedding, we will grant some of the most intimate moments of these people’s lives, and help them share these memories with their closest friends and family members.”

The foundation was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding wishes. Houston Wedding Showcase - Re-Cap

Hey Lovelies,

Ok, I know its almost been a week since the Houston Wedding Showcase so here is a short entry with more pics to follow after I get back to my USB cable for my camera.

First of all let me say that I bow down to those who do 8 shows a year, like our lovely booth neighbors from Butler's Courtyard (we love you Nancy)! Bridal shows are such a tiring experience from beginning to end and each bride should appreciate the time and energy we all put into them. Sheesh. Lol. Megan and I are too very short girls and between packing up the car with everything needed for the show, unloading it, decorating our booth, taking it back down Saturday evening, and packing up the car again...I think Megan and I deserve a HUGE Pepsi and Snicker Bar!

We decorated our booth on Friday and it was an interesting experience but it came out great. We also had some help from LG Entertainers and they truly made our booth shine! The pic below is from Friday after setting up.

Saturday morning we made a few changes to the booth and it was time to begin. We met so many wonderful brides and even a few that were very relieved to find out that they could find hire help to keep them from pulling their hair out.

With today's economy, many brides are taking planning into their own hands and that's wonderful but that doesn't mean there isn't help for the DIY bride. Invitation as a First Impression

Good Evening Everyone,

This past Tuesday Megan and I took a trip to visit the lovely ladies of Invitation Solutions and I have to say these ladies are AMAZINGLY TALENTED! I was blown away by all the options and with the owner having a profound knowledge of graphic design the creative never stops flowing. As I looked through all the brightly colored samples I had a thought... "If clients looked at invitations first it would be so much easier to pick their color combinations!" Ding Ding Ding! I wonder if anyone else has considered this..

When planning any event I always suggest locating your venue first! This can be the most time consuming part of your planning and if you are unwilling to move on the date you need to lock your location quickly. Next, consider taking a trip to look at invitations so you can see how colors work together on a finished product and start to imagine how they'll work in your event space. The truth of the matter is the invitation will always spark your guests' first impression of what your event will be like.

Once you decide on a color combo AND if you've decided that's the invitation company you plan to hire for your event, ask if you can have a sample invitation in your color combo to help with your planning process. Carry this invitation with you when picking out linens, flowers, decor, etc. and it will be a lot easier to get your vision across to multiple vendors because they will all see the same color palette. (Consider how many shades on one color there are and how much easier this makes it to explain "pink and tan" or "rose and sand")

I have to thank Invitation Solutions for sparking this thought! Remember, the invitation is the first thing your guest will see so why should it be what brings your event together. Your invitations should speak volumes about you and your event. Just a thought!

I hope you all had a wonderful and productive day. Today, let's talk about cupcakes! The cupcake trend has been catching on and they are no longer just for kidding parties.

But have you seen a cupcake cake or pull-apart cupcakes? Please don't look at your screen crazy right now because I promise you it makes total sense. One of my fav event planners here in Houston posted a blog earlier today about pull-apart cupcakes so I promised to re-blog her. Tear It Out

Hello My Lovelies,

I knot a lot of you became engaged over the holidays so I thought I'd share a little tip with our wedding warriors out there. :)

My hope is that none of you are tearing out your hair already. I know some of you are because I've already heard from some of my close friends that the stress is already getting to them and it hasn't even been one solid month yet. You should be enjoying your engagement every chance you get because at some point the engagement does end.

I'm sure at this point your living room is covered with magazines of all different shapes and sizes. Its BEYOND overwhelming as you try to figure out what kind of bride you are and how many people to put in your wedding party...SHEESH! Here's my tip for you that has been passed along...

TEAR IT OUT!

Sit on the floor with all your wedding magazines and every time you see a picture of something you like just tear it out. It can be the color, the style of a dress, the favor, the photo style, whatever drew your attention to that picture...tear it out. Keep all these pictures in a file and once you are done going through all your magazines start organizing and downsizing. Separate the pictures in to groups that makes sense to you and as you go through each group get rid of the pictures that you've lost interest in and NEVER visit them again. This is the only way to move forward.

You'll slowly start to see your image come together and it will be a lot easier on you and your poor bridesmaids that have been trying to talk you off a cliff and wiping away your tears. Once you see your image the details will come to you. It will just feel right and when ever you get to a point where you once again feel overwhelmed just put this tip to practice and get back to enjoying your engagement. You don't want to ever forget these precious days.

I hope this was helpful to my wedding warriors. Now go get you a cup of tea (or a glass of champagne ) and start tearing!!

Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Implementation

Hello Everyone,

I love my Alma Mater so much!!! Go Coogs!! This past Monday I had the honor of speaking at University of Houston once again and the chance to give back to the National Pan Hellenic Council as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Immanuel Educational Services, Inc. Entrepreneurship: From Idea To Implementation was a panel discussion on everything that is starting a business.

Students, Business owners, Non-Profits, family and friends filled the Houston Rm. in the University Center as combined knowledge of years and multiple industries was shared with all. I learned a lot and had the opportunity to share my advice and experiences. To be on a panel with those that have accomplished so much was such a wonderful feeling.

After the panel discussion was over panelist stayed to answer additional questions about their business and meet the guest. I had the pleasure of meeting many business owners and future entrepreneurs that felt we lended much needed knowledge to the students of the University of Houston. I plan to meet futher with a certain non-profit that pairs small business with charties and community services. I'm happy I could be part of a program that will hopefully continue for many years to come.

A special thank you to Cassandra Joseph of the University of Houston chapter of NPHC for inviting me to speak at this wonderful event! Giving back to my Alma Mater is a very important part of the mission behind Professional Socialites!

Something Old, Something New

Hey Everyone,

I had the pleasure of attending Something Old, Something New: a Bridal Trunk Show and Charity Event unveiling the 2010 collections of Angel Sanchez and The Cotton Bride and benefiting The Fairy Godmother Project.

Green Lily Events & Maison de Mode Bridal were the wonderful host of this fab event!

Maison de Mode is a chic little bridal bouquet located in Rice Village and all soon to be brides really should check it out!

The lovely ladies of The Fairy Godmother Project were collecting gently used formals and prom gowns for deserving high school students. I donated NINE dress...I went to alot of dances in high school!

The dress above was the first and most creative dress shown of The Cotton Bride Collection. As you can see this lovely gown can be turn into a cocktail dress simply by unzipping the skirt! So cool!

The dresses above are also from The Cotton Bride 2010 Collection. The short white dress has POCKETS which makes it the winner in my book! All of The Cotton Bride dresses are soft and comfortable and BEAUTIFUL!

The Angel Sanchez Collection was simple elegance. Every dress made you look like the belle of the ball. The dresses were light weight with simple detail and flowing lines.

The dress above was my fav of this collection. The whole back panel of the dress was detachable. It allows the bride to have a long traditional train for the ceremony and she can detach it entire back panel for a more manageable train.

The event was a complete success and I would suggestion either designer with ease.

Giving Back Through Speaking

Hey Everyone,

Here at Professional Socialites we truly believe in giving back to our community and our Alma Marta, University of Houston (GO COOGS!), so we are doing our part to encourage other students to follow their dreams. As a graduate of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at U of H, I had the opportunity to speak in my former professor's class on how to start a small business in the special events industry. I was so honored when I received the invitation to speak but extremely nervous, especially since I just graduated in May of 2008, but once I got in front of the class it was like being a student again expect this time... I wasn't getting graded. The class was very attentive and I was proud to be able to share my story and experiences with those I once called peers. They were so excited when they realized how young we were when we started our business and I truly believe it sparked something in those who weren't sure what would become of their goals. The class clearly enjoyed it because I have been invited to come back and speak every semester!! Yay!!

On the 16th of this month I will speak at U of H again. This time for the NPHC (National Pan Hellenic Council) and Immanuel Educational Services, Inc., a non-profit org that focuses on teaching high schoolers about financial literacy, as they present Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Implementation. This will be a panel discussion on what it took to become an entrepreneur. The panel will consist of those new to entrepreneurship, those with years of experience, and even someone who went about it the wrong way and lot everything. I hope that this event will really touch someone in the audience who has an idea but thinks they are too young. If you have a passion for something age should NEVER be a factor! Make your dream and reality and remember what AND who helped you get there!

Lessons from the Diva

Like I told you guys on my last post, June 6 & 7, the Socialites journeyed to Towson, Maryland to attend the Business of Matrimony Power Course Workshop. The Wedding Diva herself, Linnyette Richardson-Hall, gave the 10 ladies in attendance (including the Professional Socialites) an intimate and honest view of lessons she's learned over her 17 years in the wedding planning industry.

I had seen Linnyette on "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway" on the Style Network, but still didn't know what to expect. People's TV persona can be totally different than reality. So... after meeting her: Linnyette is one of the realest, most entertaining people I have met in a long while!!! Anecdotes about her various excursions in event planning fabulosity had me cracking up! But more so, Crystal and I learned. No, seriously... we learned A LOT! The tools we came away with after that Workshop will save us a lot of unnecessary bumps in the road. We came back and now we're incorporating what we've learned into our business model.

Megan, Linnyette, Crystal

I think Linnyette is the bomb. It's more than her great events, honesty, and love of great shoes. A socialite by definition uses their social skills and connections to help others. She let us in on hard learned trade secrets that she could have easily kept to her self. She learned the lessons and taught us the game, and one day we'll be able to pass those lessons (along with what we learn) to the next generation of visionary socialites and divas. A saying that is somewhat overused, but not always done, comes to mind: Pay It Forward.

On a random side note... we had a blast in Maryland/D.C... until I got sick!! But all was fun. That Monday before we caught our plane back to Houston (and in the middle of my painful upper respiratory mini-death), we went to D.C. to check out the monuments. Here's us at the National Mall by the Texas pillar, and another shot of us with Honest Abe. Is it sad that I wanted him to start talking like on Night at the Museum?

Road Trip!

Ok... well, not actually a road trip. We're headed to Towson, Maryland for the "Business of Matrimony" Conference held by Linnyette Richardson-Hall (yes, the wonderfully stern but ever so fierce wedding planner you see on Style Network's 'Whose Wedding Is It Anyway').

I haven't been to the Baltimore/D.C. area since I was like 14, so this should be FUN! As a fledgling business, we're eager to get our hands on as much information as we can on how to be a success. The networking we do this weekend should be INVALUABLE! So... I've got my Samsonite all packed and we're hopping on a plane this afternoon. I feel like I forgot to pack something. Dang it! My Dove body wash is sitting on my bathroom counter... Ah well, at least it was something small. Meanwhile...The Socialites are headed to the east coast...watch out!! :)

So, aside from all the great networking and learning... I want to EAT! I'm all about traveling and sampling the local fare. I definitely want to go back to the Fudgery *my one memory of Baltimore*.

Well, that's all for now. I'm sure we'll have plenty more to say after we get back. Fellow socialites, where would you go if you were in Baltimore for a weekend?

This is the first posting to our blog! Professional Socialites is a new company, the brainchild of Crystal Milton and Megan Ford (me!). We are excited about the adventures that entrepreneurship promises to bring and we will be detailing it all on this blog.
